The THWARriors is a nerdy comedy about Chuck, a Magic: The Gathering enthusiast who spends his weekends staging backyard sword fights with his best friend Lewis. When Chuck hatches a ridiculous plan to impress the girl he likes, the two find themselves on a collision course with celebrity card collector Mosty Palone and far more trouble than they bargained for.

Director’s Statement
The THWARriors was inspired by our short film, Game On. We made Game On for a film challenge and didn’t make the cut, but we had so much fun making it that I wanted to explore who these crazy guys really were. Who are the grown adults spending their weekends playing Magic: The Gathering and staging backyard sword fights? Around the same time, I read an article about a real Magic card heist, and the ideas started snowballing. My goal with The THWARriors was simple: create a fun, nerdy comedy inspired by movies like Napoleon Dynamite, Clerks, and Role Models. The kind of movie that makes me smile.
